DeAnna Wallace

For 26 years, DeAnna Wallace has made Financial Plus Credit Union a better place. Not just through her role as Chief Human Resources Officer and SVP of Member Experience, but through the countless relationships she has built and the lives she has touched along the way.

DeAnna has been a constant through an incredible period of growth at Financial Plus, helping guide the credit union from $180 million to more than $1.6 billion in assets. But numbers tell only a small part of her story. What truly defines DeAnna is the way she makes people feel. DeAnna possesses exceptional interpersonal skills, remembering personal details, checking in with sincerity, and building genuine relationships that make employees feel valued. She leads with kindness; even her distinctive, infectious laugh reflects the approachability she brings to her leadership.

Her commitment to serving others extends beyond Financial Plus. For more than 20 years, DeAnna has mentored young people through the Boys & Girls Club. She also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate through Voices for Children, advocating for children in foster care and helping ensure their voices are heard. And within the credit union movement, DeAnna has mentored emerging professionals through America’s Credit Unions and supported the next generation of leaders through Michigan’s CU Spark Tank program.

DeAnna never seeks recognition for what she gives. She shows up for her employees, her community, young people and the credit union movement. Her legacy lives in the people she has encouraged, supported and helped grow.
