Gregory Thrush

Gregory W. Thrush is a longtime Truliant Federal Credit Union volunteer leader who was named Director Emeritus at Truliant’s 2023 annual meeting in recognition of three decades of advocacy and dedicated service on the credit union’s board of directors.

 

He joined the board in 1994, during a pivotal era for the credit union as it navigated major industry changes, including the landmark field-of-membership legal battle that reached the U.S. Supreme Court and helped shape the future growth of credit unions nationwide. Thrush began serving as board chair in 2007, helping guide Truliant through continued expansion, stronger governance practices and a broader regional presence while remaining committed to improving the lives of its members.

 

 

During his tenure, he chaired the Compensation and Benefits Committee for 28 years and supported more formal processes around leadership, succession planning and strategic oversight. He also helped shape the board’s culture and long-term effectiveness by supporting efforts to prepare future leaders, formalize governance practices and keep the board focused on strategic oversight. Thrush’s leadership and faithful service have contributed to Truliant’s continued success.
