Julie Kreinbring

Julie Kreinbring, President and CEO of Zeal Credit Union, has spent more than 25 years helping advance the credit union movement through strategic leadership, innovation, mentorship, and industry service. Since becoming President and CEO in July 2019, she has led Zeal through a period of significant transformation and growth while remaining focused on the cooperative principles that distinguish credit unions: putting people first, strengthening communities, and creating meaningful value for members.

Before becoming CEO, Julie served as Zeal's Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, experiences that shaped her passion for strategy, technology, innovation, and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has helped lead complex mergers and acquisitions, championed the thoughtful use of technology to improve the member experience, and encouraged credit unions to continually evolve in response to changing member expectations and an increasingly complex financial-services environment.

Central to Julie's leadership philosophy is a belief that strong organizations are built by strong people. She has dedicated significant time to identifying, coaching, and developing emerging leaders and creating opportunities for people to grow beyond their current roles. Her emphasis on culture, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning has helped develop leaders who will carry the credit union movement forward.

Julie's commitment extends beyond Zeal through service on industry boards and committees and active participation in conversations affecting the future of credit unions. Whether advocating for the movement, mentoring the next generation of leaders, or challenging organizations to think differently about what comes next, she remains committed to ensuring credit unions continue to be relevant, innovative, and deeply connected to the people and communities they serve.
