Manchester, N.H.(May 17, 2005) ---
Daniel Mica, president / CEO of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), joined the board of
directors of America’s Credit Union Museum.
America’s Credit Union Museum, based in Manchester, NH in the building that housed the first U.S. credit
union, is managed by a board of directors comprised of a nationwide group of credit union executives.
“America’s Credit Union Museum highlights the foundation of the credit union movement,” said Mica. “The
Museum draws attention to the vital role that credit unions play in consumer financial services in the U.S.
I am pleased to be a part of the Museum’s board.”
The Museum is a collection of the history that shaped the credit union movement. Located in the building
that originally housed St. Mary’s Bank Credit Union in 1909, the Museum has three floors of artifacts and
stories that highlight the keys events in the credit union movement.
“Dan Mica is an excellent addition to the board of directors of America’s Credit Union Museum,” said Peggy
Powell, executive director at the Museum. “His credibility with executives industry-wide and his perspective
on the Museum’s strategic direction will be extremely valuable.”
