Credit Unions - 100 Years Building Financial Futures

The History of Credit Unions...

For the past 100 years, the mission of credit unions has continually focused on providing financial services at affordable and reasonable rates. Credit Unions concentrate on helping communities and members.

America's Credit Union Museum preserves this rich tradition of people helping people and houses the many contributions credit unions have made over a century. It serves as a meeting and educational center, providing a framework to collectively offer programs for the well-being of future generations.

The 100th Anniversary of Credit Unions Fundraising Campaign set its target goal of $640,000 to help retire the mortgage of the museum and begin to build an endowment for the future. This campaign hopes to ensure that the museum can continue to highlight the history of credit union and provide financial education, especially to young people. Be a part of this exciting venture and help carry the torch forward.
