Fundraiser nets $272,000 for museum

The 100th Anniversary of Credit Unions Fundraising Campaign kicked off in October in conjunction with the Video Premiere Night Credit Unions: 100 years of Building Financial Futures at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. The campaign has raised more than $272,000 to date. Festivities began at the museum with a reception, followed by the video premiere and distinguished speakers at the historic Palace Theatre.

Museum CU 4 Reality Financial Education Program Expands

Spending money had never been easier then it is for today's youth. More credit is being extended to this group at a younger and younger age. Yet, far too few students learn life skills that will lead to their personal financial success. A coalition of credit unions though America's Credit Union Museum's Financial Literacy Education Committee has designed the first ever comprehensive educational package, CU 4 Reality, centered on the dynamic interaction between student, educator, parent, credit unions, and business volunteers.

Museum Opens New Exhibits

The opening of a new exhibit at America's Credit Union Museum is always reason for celebration and 2008 was no exception. The opening of two new exhibits brought visitors to the Museum from across the country. The African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) Board of Directors and their guests celebrated International Credit Union Day October 16, 2008 with the opening of their exhibit African-Americans in the Credit Union Movement, The First 100 Years.

America's Credit Union Museum Foundation held its annual meeting on April 2, 2009 at America's Credit Union Museum.
